Western Team

While the WUET Western team is younger than the Hunt Seat team, it has been growing each year! The Western Team encourages riders to join from all levels of experience, casual or competitive, and from all backgrounds, solidly Western or curious English riders! The Western team also competes in IHSA Western horsemanship and reining classes.

Showing

Western Team shows are hosted through IHSA, and as such, members can compete in Western horsemanship and reining based on their experience prior to the beginning of their college-level, Western-riding adventure. Our shows are open to riders of all levels. Members who join on Western Team excursions are allowed the privilege of partaking in a vast variety of special Western Team traditions, such as getting fresh fudge and more from Uranus, MO, catching thrown rolls at Lambert’s near Branson, MO, and storming Price Cutter in search of pickled eggs at strange hours of the night. Competitions are a great place to grow your experience as a rider and form bonds with other riders.
